SECOND CHILDHOOD
The only time in our lives we like to get old is when we're kids.
If you're less than
10 years old, your're so excited about aging that you think in fractions:
"HOW OLD ARE YOU?"
"Four and a half---going on five."
"Six and a half!"
But you're never 36 and a half.
And then, when is SUCCESS?
At age 4, success is..........not peeing your pants.
and
at age 10,
success is ..........winning a game of marbles,
At age 16, success is.........having friends.
On the greatest day of your life,
At age 20, success is.........having sexuality.
then you become 21.
But then you turn 30,
Now you are thinking you are KOOL and with a lifetime to live.
OR
perhaps you are upset when you realize life is moving too fast.
At age 35, success is.........making money.
Then you're pushing 40.
It's all slipping away by the time
you reach 50.
Finally,
You make it to 6o.
At age 60,
success is.........having sex.
By then you've built up so much speed you
(hopefully)
HIT 70.
At age 70,
success is.........having friends.
At age 80, success is.........not peeing your pant.
After that?
It's day by day.
My grandmother won't even buy green bananas.
And it doesn't end there.
In the 90s you start going backward.
"I was just 92."
Then a really strange thing happens.
If you make it past 100,
you become a kid again:
"I'm 104. And a half!"
